Under 18s miss out on going out with a bang
Our under 18s just missed out on clinching a league and cup double when they lost out to title rivals Leeds Lions at Skelton Woods. After going in 2-0 down at half time, Whinmoor dominated the second half when first James Turner and then Ryszard Pryszczyk brought the game level. As our boys pushed forward for the vital winner, the Lions (including our old boy Leon Walker) pounced and scored two late goals to win 4-2. It's not all over yet - if Leeds Lions lose by 10 goals away at Colton in their last match, our boys will still do it. However, the Lions have already beaten Colton twice this season, so we're all praying for a bit of a miracle!

From a club point of view, we would like to thank our Under 18s, and all the lads who have turned out for Robin and Simon's sides over the years - they all should be immensely proud of what they have achieved for Whinmoor Juniors FC in that time.(11/5/09)

Under 18s up for the Double
Our under 18s will host Leeds Lions on Sunday in a game which will effectively decide the Under 18 league title. This was made possible after a thumping 7-0 victory over Guiseley on Sunday. (5/5/09)
