U17s leave it too late
Our under 17s gave themselves too much to do after finding themselves 3-0 down at half time. Goals from Reece Kay and Danny Squires weren't enough, as they slumped to a 5-2 defeat. 26/9/10

U11s bow out of cup
Our under 11s exited the league cup at the first hurdle, winning 1, but losing the other 3 of their fixtures.
Max Johnson and Koby McNamara found the net in the victory, and Danny Grayson had a great game.
The 'B' team lost both of their fixtures, with Lewis Carry's sterling efforts being in vain. 20/9/10

U12s hit a wall
Our under 12s spectacular start to the season came to a grinding halt at unbeaten division 1 side Ripon,
where they tumbled out of the cup 5-0. 20/9/10

U15s progress
Whinmoor Under 15s continued their recent good form with a fine win against Harrogate Railway.
Two goals each from Callum Gartland and Jake Douglas saw Whinmoor home by 4 goals to 2. 20/9/10

U16s into next round
Our under 16s moved into the next round of the cup with a resounding 4-0 win away at Ilkley. 20/9/10

U12s rack up the records!
Whinmoor U12s thrashed Harrogate Railway 12-1 to continue their 100% start. With too many scorers to fit in here, they have now scored 23 goals in their first two games of the season! 12/9/10

U15s triumph in 7 goal thriller
Whinmoor U15s scored their first win of the season, coming back from 3-1 down to snatch a dramatic 4-3 victory.
Two goals from Jordan Whitaker, and one each from Jordan Carty and Danny Goodman saw them home12/9/10

U17s edged out in close one
Whinmoor U17s conceded two second half goals to condemn them to defeat against Wetherby.
Despite Josh Goodwin finding the net in the first half, Whinmoor couldn't close out the victory.12/9/10

U16s brought crashing down to earth
Whinmoor U16s suffered their heaviest defeat in almost two seasons when they lost 8-2 at Knaresborough.
Kyle Bartley and T'Nique Fishley got the consolations for Whinmoor12/9/10

U11s Come up against a quality side
Our under 11s were comfortably beaten by Knaresborough Celtic in all four games.
Max Johnson and Jonathan Farrow were the only scorers on a bad day for the home side.12/9/10

Under 15s start with a defeat
Our under 15s kicked their campaign off with a defeat against Wigton Moor Athletic.
After a tight first half, a second half flurry of goals gave the scoreline a flattering look for the home side. 6/9/10

Under 11s start off with a win
Our under 11's had a great start to the season with two wins and two draws away at Killinghall.
Koby McNamara impressed with his performance and two goals today, with Farrow and Turpin also finding the net.
For the B team, Farrar scored twice, with Smith notching the other one, and Robertson having a great debut. 5/9/10

Under 12s make the Pumas an endangered species
Our under 12s began life in the Harrogate league with an emphatic 11-1 win at home to the Pannal Sports Pumas.
There were two goals each for Kennedy, Hellas and Freckleton, with Smith, Bisset, Fordham, B. Vickers and Goodwin all scoring as well. 5/9/10

Under 16s share the spoils in opener
In their first game in the top division, our under 16s drew 2-2 with Kirk Deighton Rangers.

Under 17s news
This Wednesday (1st September), our under 17s have a friendly away against Bardsey. Could all players please meet at Skelton Woods at 5.45. Anybody who has any transport problems, please call Jeremy.
Also, the opening league game away at Wigton Moor United has been postponed. This will be played at a later date.
Finally, Ripon City Panthers and Wigton Moor Athletic have resigned from the league as they were unable to field a full squad. This means that Bardsey will be promoted to Section A and replace Wigton Moor Athletic, and that Whinmoor get a bye in the first round of the cup! 31/8/10
