Goals from Orlando Smith and Adam Hellas put Whinmoor ahead, but they were pegged back in the closing stages. This result bodes very well for next season!
Our under 17s season was summed up in one game today, as they lost 3-1 at home to Ilkley
Despite dominating possession, three opportunistic Ilkley goals, with a fine Danny Squires finish in reply, mean they go into next weeks last game of the season still propping up the table

Our under 17s were undone by brief lapses in concentration as they fell to the league leaders Pannal Sports. A Damir Mulavdic penalty was all they had to show for their efforts, despite outplaying their hosts for most of the first half.

One of a kind prizes up for grabs
After our fund-raiser, we have had two fine prizes donated for a raffle.
We have a brand new 2011 Leeds Rhino's shirt, signed by the current Rhinos squad.
Also, one of an extremely limited number of signed Rugby balls, signed by RL Legends Andrew 'Joey' Johns, and Irish flying winger and current Sky Sports pundit Brian Carney.
If you want a chance to win one of these very rare and desirable prizes, then speak to your team manager, or see the landlord at the Barleycorn in Scholes, who has kindly volunteered to help us out.

Fundraiser a great success!
Our first club fundraiser, held on a horrible winters night in February, proved a great success, with a good time had by all.
Thanks to everybody who braved the rubbish weather and put their hands in their pockets. Also, many thanks to all those who helped and gave so generously for the night - our friends at the finest butcher in Leeds, Malcolm Michaels, the marvellous Access Maintenance Solutions, and also to East Leeds Rugby club, who provided a cracking venue.
Finally thanks must go to the members of the committee who put the hard graft in - especially Robin & Karen, and Adrian, who as well as being a fine novelty act (we remember the Turkey Man!) proved himself a bit of a whizz in the kitchen!

Results round-up - 6th March

Whinmoor Under 16s continued their fine recent run with a narrow victory over Lawnswood, followed by a totally wasted trip to Harrogate Railway.
