U10 struggle in Knaresborough
Goals from Jake, Josh and Helbi were to no avail today, as Knaresborough won all four games against our Under 10s.30/10/11

U12s topple table toppers in top of the table tussle
A fantastic result for our under 12s today as they made it four wins on the bounce when they came back from a goal down to win 3-2
Two goals from Ellis Ayo and a debut goal from Cameron Liddell gave our boys a wonderful victory. Max Johnson set up a couple of goals, and there were great performances Ciaran Ward and James McElduff, and 'keeper Josh Bullamore also managed to crucially save a penalty late on.

U13 Greens drop out of league cup.
U13 Greens were dumped out of the league cup by unbeaten Pannal Sports, from the division above.
Although Whinmoor competed with the high flyers, Pannal Sports long distance shooting proved to be our lads downfall.
Whinmoor battled well with some really good performances for everybody today. The back four worked the ball well from the back, the midfield battled thoughout and the strikers ran tirelessly.
You need a little luck in the cup and today it just wasn't there. Jack Fordham was the pick of the team and picked up the MOTM award.30/10/11

U14s fight the good fight against Hunslet.
Our under 14s got stuck in during their blood-and-thunder match with league leaders Hunslet, but lost out in the end.
The competed with their opponenets from start to finish, but lacked the killer instinct to find the net, and Hunslet's powerful attack made sure that they built a winning lead.30/10/11

U16s come up short against the Panthers
Two goals from goal machine Nathan Kay weren't enough, as our under 16s let a two goal lead slip at Pannal Sports Panthers.30/10/11

U17s thump Lawnswood
Our under 17s came out on top winning 6-3 at home to Lawnswood.30/10/11

U13 Yellows buckle under the Crusade
Our under 13 yellows were unable to get a result against Kirkstall Crusaders today.
Despite running their blood to water, they were unable to prevent a heavy defeat.23/10/11

U14s lose out at Wigton Moor
Our under 14s put up a fight today, but went down 4-1 to local rivals Wigton Moor.23/10/11

U16s bounce back against Wetherby
Our under 16s had a great game today, emerging victorious against Wetherby.
Two goals each from Nathan Kay and Jordan Whitaker gave our lads a much deserved 4-0 win.23/10/11

Players name finally spelt correctly - IT Meerkat Sergei given detention.
Under 10 goal machine Taylor Ragan's name has finally been spelt in the correct way.
Shamed web meerkat Sergei has been given a severe talking to and is now writing lines on a blackboard, somewhere.

Daggers blunted as Under 12s great form continues
Our under 12s continued their fine form with a spectacular 8-3 victory at Harrogate Railway Daggers.
Two goals each from Koby McNamara, Charlie Smith and Jono Farrow, with one each from Max Johnson and Ellis Ayo for good measure.
Whinmoor came back from a goal down early on, and good performance from Lewis Carry and Charlie smith saw our boys home.16/10/11

U13 Greens bow out of the Millenium Cup
The Green's find unbeated run came to abrupt end at Leeds City in the Millenium cup today.
Whinmoor were slow to start, but the turning point was the referee turning down appeals for a sure-fire penalty,
only for Leeds City to go down the other end and pinch their second goal! Great performances from Ben and Adam Vickers,
along with a superb captains knock from Callum Freckleton, and a man of the match showing from Jack Atkinson weren't enough as Whinmoor webnt down by four goals.16/10/11

Under 14s drop out of L&D Cup
Our under 14s ended their interest in the Leeds & District Cup for the second week with a home defeat against Yorkshire Amateurs.

Under 16s bow out of cup at Amaranth
Our under 16s lost on their travels at Amaranth. Sorry, Mrs. Guy!

U10s win 1 out of 4 at Otley
Our under 10s pinched one win at Otley, but missed out in the other 3 today.9/10/11

U12s thump Nidd United
Our under 12s dished out a hiding to Nidd United today, winning 7-1.
There were 2 goals from Ellis Ayo, and one each for Charlie Smith, Lee Davies, Koby McNamara, Kyle Farrar amd Liam Crossley
Bailey Mannion and Josh Bullamore had great games in this fine win.9/10/11

U13H tame the Panthers
Our under 13s stayed at the top of the Harrogate & District section B with a solid 4-1 win over Pannal Sports Panthers.
Coming from a goal down at half-time and in rubbish conditions, two goals from Jay Ackroyd, along with one apiece for Max Bisset and Mickey Manwere gave us a great win.
Wiilaim Silkstone continued his wonderful start in a Whinmoor shirt by taking the Man-of the Match.2/10/11

Under 13G mauled by the Lions.
Our Under 13 GFL were comfortably beaten in the by Churwell Lions today 12-0.
The large pitch and the conditions were too much for our lads, who capitulated in the second half.
Part time keepers Tom and Vijay both deserve credit, but Man of the Match Cameron never stop running and fighting for the ball.

Under 14s concentrate on the league!
Our under 14s came up against a very well organised Leeds City side and fell out of the cup.
Losing 13-1, the scoreline didn't reflect the gameplay at all, and Whinmoor made enough chances to worry their opponents early on,
but two quick goals before half time hurt them, and Leeds City killed the game stone dead in the first ten minutes of the second half.
Despite this, the Whinmoor lads never stopped fighting, and scored arguably the goal of the game through Charlie Rutter.9/10/11

under 16s lose out to Otley
Still short of bodies, our under 16s lost out in a high scoring game to Otley.09/10/11

U8s hold Pool
Whinmoor U8s 1-1 Pool U8s - A fantastic draw with plenty of drama and lots of chances.
The game could have gone either way, but both managers wil be happy with the outcome and performances.
Pool took the lead from the spot when Bradley decided to catch the ball!. Whinmoor responded very well with the equalier a great solo effort from Ethan.
Man of the Match Tom was superb on the wing, getting stuck in and making lots of positive runs.2/10/11

U12s out of the Fryston pan and into the next round!
Our under 12s had a superb result today, coming back from two down to progress in the county cup.
Showing a great spirit (which was sadly lacking last week), goals from Ellis Ayo, Kyle Farrar and an absolute screamer from Jake Turpin turned the game around.
Ryan Robertson had a very solid game at centre half. A big thanks to Koby's dad for bringing the highly nutritional pop & crisps, too!
We now welcome Skipton to Skelton Woods on the 6th of November in the next round.2/10/11

U13H show how far they've come
Our under 13 side went to the top of the Harrogate and District section B after beating their rivals from last season, Nidd United.
Whinmoor made sure there were no slip ups this time and piled on the pressure from the first whistle, but came up against a stubborn Nidd defence.
After a goal-less first half, Jay Ackroyd cracked in the opener, and Callum Kennedy came off the bench to grab himself a brace before Shay Glucksman finished off the visitors.
Nidd got themselves a consolation goal late on but found a Whinmoor team hell bent on revenge for last season.
Shay Glucksman pinched the Man of The Match award against some stiff competition.2/10/11

Under 13H stumped at the death!
Our Under 13 GFL side took a deserved lead through Kieran, and man of the match Vijay in goal performed heroics to keep Tingley out, including saving a penalty.
In fact, Tingley waited until 3 minutes from the end to nick an equaliser, which was probably the fairest result.2/10/11

under 16s fail to overcome Leeds Maccabi
Our under 16s, still missing a number of key personnel, went down 6-3 away to old rivals Leeds Maccabi.25/09/11

U17s let lead slip.
Our under 17s dominated the possession and territory at home to Amaranth, yet still contrived to lose 3-2.
