Tip-top U12s topple table toppers!
League leaders Pannal Ash were given a football lesson by Whinmoor today, as our lads spanked 'em 5-1!
Another hat-trick from genuine goal machine Ellis Ayo with one each from Kyle Farrar and Koby McNamara meant that Whinmoor are right in the promotion mix.
Cam Liddell and Bailey Mannion put in awesome performances, but Pannal Ash get another crack at us next week at the return fixture.

Under 13s held by Wetherby to put the champagne on ice
Whinmoor still need a point to clinch promotion after being held to a 2-2 draw at Wetherby.
Two-nil down early in the 2nd half, Whinmoor fought back with Jack Atkinson squeezing in the first and Sam Wilson crashed a free kick home for the equaliser late on.
Mickey Manwere took the man of the match, and Shay Glucksman was also mentioned in despatches.

Under 14s all square with Wrenthorpe
Our under 14s drew 2-2 with Wrenthorpe, despite going a goal down in the first minute.
Whinmoor fought back though, and managed to peg back their visitors to nick a point

Under 16 suffer from another slow start
Our under 16s bad first half habits reared their ugly heads again as they went in at the break 5-1 down, despite a spectacular Jake Wilson goal.
Again, a hugely improved second half saw Whinmoor playing some excellent football, Kadeem MacFarlane heading a second, but Whinmoor didn't get the rewards they deserved.
Manager Ian Guy is contemplating later kick-offs or 40 minute warm-ups to get over the slow starts!

U10s find it tough going against Beckwithshaw
Our under 10s found it hard against Beckwithshaw Saints, losing all four games.
Josh Murray was the only Whinmoor player to find the net, but both teams fought the good fight.
Special mention was made of Cam Storey and Helbi Pipa, who took the Man of the Match plaudits.

U12s stun Boroughbridge
Two goals from top scorer Ellis Ayo saw Whinmoor stun 2nd place Boroughbridge with a 2-1 win.
That doesn't tell the whole story, though, as some stoic defending from Charlie Smith and Jake Turpin kept the home side out,
and when Boroughbridge got past the back four, they found Josh in superb form between the sticks.

U13 Greens thump Killinghall
A cool hat-trick from Callum Freckleton help Whinmoor nudge closer to the divisional title as Whinmoor swept Killinghall aside 7-0.
Further goals from Sam Wilson, Mickey Manwere, Jack Atkinson and Ben Vickers completed the scoring, as Max Bisset took the man of the match award.
Whinmoor maintained their lead at the top of their division with only two league games left, and did their goal difference the poiwer of good as well, which is more than can be said of Callum's dads wallet!

U13Y miss out to Kirkstall
Our under 13 Yellows pushed 3rd place Kirkstall Crusaders all the way only miss out to a narrow 2-1 defeat

U16s improve, but still miss out to the Panthers
Our under 16s put in an impressive display in the second half against Pannal Sports Panthers, but unfortunately, they were already 3 goals down.
However, a Callum Gartland penalty, followed by a stunning 25 yard free-kick into the top corner from the same player brought Whinmoor back into the game,
but the visitors managed to finish the game off whilst Whinmoor were chasing a result.

U17s sweep Nidd aside to progress
Our under 17s dismissed Nidd United by a score of 10-3 to move onto the next round of the Styan cup.

Penguin Alert!

None of our teams managed to get a game this weekend after snow made Yorkshire look all pretty, but blew the chances of any football.

Our new club newsletter, put together at huge financial cost and great personal sacrifice by Ian Guy, is now available to download.
