Whinmoor Juniors Under 15s
It is with regret that we announce that our under 15s side has decided to withdraw from all competitions.
Our under 13s had a great 6-2 win today at home to Knaresborough in Steve and Nathan Frosdicks last game before emigrating to Australia.2 goals from Max Johnson, with Lee Davis, Koby McNamara, Cameron Liddell and Jake Turpin with a 30-yard belter gave Whinmoor a deserved win. Kieran Ward and Josh Bullamore made excellent contributions today.
Our under 17s lost to Guiseley today in a reverse of the opening day fixture. Jordan Whitakers consolation was the only bright spot in a 1-6 defeat.

Our under 13s put up a great fight against Collingham, who are currently riding high in the Garforth League. The Collingham Coach said that Whinmoor were the toughest team they'd yet played, but our lads still lost out 0-4.
Our under 14s notched their second win in two games with a fine 4-1 at home to Boroughbridge. Jack Atkinson, Jack Fordham, Liam Flanagan and Callum Freckleton all finding the onion bag.
Collingham under 18s proved too strong for our under 17s today, as our boys bowed out of the West Riding cup.

The under 17s got back to winning ways with an efficient and organised performance against Harrogate Railway. Brandon Stansfield started the scoring, with Joe Welsh getting the second, and a Harrogate defender kindly getting the third, when Connor was quite close by, apparently. Kadeem MacFarlane quashed any hopes of a Harrogate comeback in the second half with a classy finish.
Only two of our teams got out on the pitch this week, and it wasn't particularly good news for either of them
The under 14s played the reigning champions Pannal Sports, and although Liam Flanagan scored his second of the season in a much improved performance, the Whinmoor lads are still finding the step up difficult to come to terms with, after losing a number of players over the summer.
At under 17 level, our lads suffered their first defeat of the season, where althought hey dominated possession, the Nidd long ball tactics were catching Whinmoor out time and again, and although they got the score back to 4-2 early in the second half, with Karl Gedge and Kadeem MacFarlane finding the net, they tired towards the end with Nidd running away with the scoreline.
