Results Roundup for 29th September
Our U9s Another great day playing away against Boroughbridge in what was their first ever league fixture. 4 wins, 3-0, 2-0, 3-1 and 6-1 (could easily have been 10 or more but for an outstanding goalkeeper) makes it now 28 league games unbeaten. MoM's went to Lewis, debutant Billy, James and Bradley. Goals for Bradley (4) Callum (4. Again!) Lewis (2) Morgan (2) Daniel and Billy. Well done again boys.

Our U10s played against the best team in our division, and it was a superb test for the lads today, especially a man down and in knee high grass! Stuart and I watched our lads go 5-0 down at half time but they really performed well and nearly drew the second half. Josh G got our only goal in the 7-1 defeat and James deservedly picked up the MoM. In the second game it was so even and after Ethan scored we hit the underside of the bar and had one cleared off line that would have made it 2-2 before they sneaked 2 late goals - 1:4, Brad MoM for skill and workrate aplenty. Tom's crew had just 6 men but managed to hold the opposition to nil nil at HT with their supporters praising the lads. Late goals told in the end to make it 0-3 but it'll be different with 7 men. JP played like 2 men anyway for the MoM! The lads were shattered in the second game but still battled hard despite some rough stuff. Bailey picked up the MoM. Defeated but the lads have much to be proud of.

Our U12s beat Guiseley 4-1, with goals from Ryan, Jake and 2 from Helbi. Well done boys - played 2 won 2, keep it up!

Results Roundup for 22nd September
Our U8s had a tough start in their first ever competitive match away at Ripon; the first games were difficult (2-5 & 0-5). For the second round of games we re-grouped, showed what we were made of and came away with a 3-1 win and a an unlucky 4-2 defeat. So proud of every player especially since Ripon made about a 1000 subs and we had 0! Leighton, Billy & Danny with the goals well done guys! And well done to Kieran for saving a penalty!

The U10s had a fine win away at Boroughbridge. Pannal Sports brought their lads to town, including a Corrie actor to excite the crowds. Tom's lot had a great 2-1 win to start things off, with 2 goals from Brad and then a 0-0 draw where our keeper had nothing to do and we did everything but score! First game Kieran MoM and Cian in the 2nd. Stuart's bunch got a late equaliser to draw 2-2 with Ethan bagging both as well as the MoM. In the 2nd after we went in 3-2 up at half-time, we added a few late goals. Scorers were Noah (3), James, Josh B, Ethan and Josh G. Lewis MoM but great performances everywhere. Well done lads.

Our U14s travelled to Ilkley, were they were robbed of a point by a baffling decision. After coming back from 2 down, Whinmoor got back to 2-2 with Ellis Ayo and Caremon Liddell netting, and after conceding from a debatable free-kick, Whinmoor scored, but the ball went through a hole in the net, and the ref gave a goal kick. C'est la vie! Great comeback from the Whinmoor lads, and it shows the high level they are now playing at.

Our U15s were at home to Ilkley and although they suffered a 2-0 defeat, came away hugely positive. Whinmoor were still not at full strength, and so had to play with one or two players in different positions. Callum stepped up and played a blinder in goal and Jack dropped in to left back and played like he's played there for ever. The team put in an unbelievable shift from the first whistle and we were unlucky not to open the scoring after Joe's cracking effort dipped onto the bar. Tireless running up front from Aidan and Liam and once again the defence where solid. MOTM Jack.

And They're Off! - results round up for 15th September
An opening day hat-trick from Camo Liddell got Whinmoor U14's season off to a flying start with a 9-3 win against Kirk Deighton Rangers. Bailey Mannion and Ellis Ayo got a couple of goals apiece, with Lee Davis and Kyle Farrar completing the scoring.
Whinmoor U15s led twice against last years high flyers, but eventually succumbed 3-5 as the heavens opened.

U21s back down to earth with a bump
Our U21s suffered their first defeat of the season and were given a bit of a lesson in organisation by Wakefield City.

U21s start off with a win!
Our new under 21 side beat Hunslet 2-1 in their first ever game. Ashley 'Bean' Rawson brought Whinmoor level after they had fallen behind, and a Callam Gartland special free kick gave Whinmoor the lead. They rode their luck to hold on for the three points.
