Results Roundup for 27th October
Our U10s had a tough game at home to last year's league winners Pannal Sports but got plenty out of it. Stuart's team acquitted themselves well in losing out to a narrow 2-0 defeat, although JP's acrobatics prevented more goals and earned the MoM once more. Stuart's second game was going very well with everyone performing superbly and went into half time at 0-0. The opposition then turned on the style for a comfortable win but Josh G couldn't be faulted and got the MoM. Tom's team fell behind to a rampant Pannal who scored 5 without reply. The lads didn't sulk and matched their opposition in a goalless second half with Bailey deserving the MoM. Their good form was taken into the next game and Ethan gave them the lead. They were just pegged back before half time and then sneaked some late goals as the team of 7 in fairly heavy ground got tired chasing a wonderful passing side. Mason got the MoM for some silky skills on the wing and great keeping. Thanks to everyone who helped clear up at the end.

Our U9s were finally beaten 3-2 today by a last minute penalty ending an amazing 31 match unbeaten run. 3 well deserved victories in boggy conditions in the other games though, 9-3, 4-2 and 2-1. Goals for Callum (4) Bradley (6) Nathan (2) Lewis (2) Joe, James and Kavelle. Big effort trophies went to Kavelle and Max. The boys played some excellent football again, its shaping up to be another great season. MOM's were Aaron, Daniel, Bradley and Nathan.
Our U10s had a fairly long trip to Killinghall but it was a fantastic morning. The lads are playing with so much freedom and showing off their skills. Pleasure to watch and great positive atmosphere. Anyway..Tom's team won their first game 2-1 but were stunning in the first half and could have had 5. Lewis Ha picked up another MoM and the second goal after Kieran's opener. The second match was a hugely entertaining 2-2, with Noah scoring the goals and Josh G picking up the MoM. New boy Nathan was great on his debut. Stuart's team drew 2-2 with an OG and James scoring and collecting the MoM. They ran riot in the second game with Ethan 2, James 2, JP 2 and Brad scoring in a 7-2 win. JP added to his MoMs but everyone played very well.
Our U12s went down 5-4 in their very first defeat of the season, despite fighting back to level pegging 3 times. A gutsy performance showing great character all round and will certainly bounce back to winning ways if we carry on playing like that. Well done boys, keep your heads up!
Our U14s played Pontefract away this afternoon in the District Cup. Despite falling behind after 5 mins, we started to play our game and eventually won 10-4, with goals from (deep breath) Kyle (3), Camo (2), Dylan (2), Bailey, Lee and Ellis ! Chanon and Jake had great games at the back. Thats 26 goals in 4 games! Keep it up, lads!
Our U15s went out of the cup today following an impressive display. A cheap goal midway through the 2nd half took the shine off some great football being played from the first half. Whinmoor were chasing an equaliser when they were caught out from another long ball the home team seemed to have adopted! The team put a shift in today but still can't seem to get a win. Connor "Dobbo" nipped in front of Charlie to grab the motm. Keep it up lads it will come!

Our U11s had a cracking trip to Wetherby today, although we were one man light. Having just 6 didn't stop Tom's team winning 4-1 and then 3-2. Superb effort. I am still compiling the goal scorers but recall Ethan scoring plenty and Josh B getting 1. MoMs for Ethan and Lewis H. Stuart's team enjoyed a 4-0 win with 3 from James and 1 from Bradley, with Lewis Ha MoM for unbe-LEEEE-vable tekkers. Second game was 10-2 with (I think) James getting 3, JP 2, Noah 3, Lewis Ha, Bradley. Kieran MoM. Some great passing today as well as great skills. Topped off by the kids getting sausage and chips. Great!
Our U14s played Ripon City today at home - they used to beat us 10-0! Today we drew 5-5. A great point, but disappointed we didn't hang on for the win after being 4-2 up. then again, we were 5-4 down when Kyle scored with the last kick of the game to earn a draw! Great performance, lads, against very good team - Kyle 2, Bailey Camo and Dylan scoring
Results Roundup for 6th October
Our U8s had a tough game today against Beckwithshaw, who showed what difference a years experience can make. Fantastic effort from everyone as ever - keep it up and the results will come! And special thanks to Stephen Rayner for help in setting up this morning - over and above to call of duty. Cheers!
Our U12s got a well deserved 4-1 win against Skipton away in county cup. Ryan getting all 4 goals and man of match. Brilliant battling display against a big side!
Our U15s had their pockets picked by Beckwithshaw, where two bullet headers weren't quite enough today. The U15s just don't seem to have any luck at the minute, but a win is just around the corner. Max nipped in at the back post from a superb corner and then turned provider for Callum's brilliant header. Both keepers were in top form, pulling off some great saves. Connor picked up the motm. Keep it up lads - the results WILL come.
